INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER- 4

An energy converter is a device or system that transforms one form of energy into another. These converters play a crucial role in various industries, enabling the use of energy in a practical and efficient manner.

There are different types of energy converters based on the source and form of energy being converted. Some common examples include:

1. Mechanical to Electrical Energy – Generators convert mechanical energy (from turbines, wind, or water) into electrical energy.

2. Electrical to Mechanical Energy – Electric motors convert electrical energy into mechanical motion.

3. Chemical to Electrical Energy – Batteries and fuel cells convert chemical energy into electricity.

4. Thermal to Mechanical Energy – Steam engines and internal combustion engines use heat to produce mechanical work.

5. Light to Electrical Energy – Solar panels (photovoltaic cells) convert sunlight into electricity.

Energy converters are essential in power generation, transportation, and industrial processes, improving energy efficiency and sustainability. Advances in energy conversion technology help reduce energy losses and promote renewable energy sources, contributing to a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future.
